Lock my forum??

i wanna lock my old forum, because my new one is ready to use.
I know how to lock the old one, but how can i put a link to my new forum in the message people are getting to see when they visit the old forum???

Send an email to all off your members and on the url where your old forum was you can put a page with the message that you have a new forum and you set the link of your new forum into the page..
