HELP 1.4.2. upgrade naar 2.0.4 lukt me niet!!!!

Hallo allemaal

Ik ben een van die domoren waarbij een upgrade van 1.4.2. ---> 2.0.4 niet wil lukken.

Dit heb ik gedaan:

Ik heb een backup gemaakt van de database

1.4.2. opnieuw geinstalleerd om er zeker van te zijn dat ik de originele versie gebruik in de directory phpBB142

backup ge-restored

Forum werkte weer

Toen 2.0.4 unzipped en via FTP in de directory phpBB204 gezet. Ik had ergens gelezen dat je het in een aparte directory moest plaatsen.

Toen de 2.0.4 install uitgevoerd via mijn browser, alle DB namen goed ingevuld (net als bij 1.4.2. installatie)

Upgrade i.p.v. install gekozen

De table pre-cursur goed gezet

EN TOEN RAAKTE IK IN TWIJFEL

moet ik nu als directory phpBB142 of phpBB204 aangeven. Ik heb phpBB204 gekozen.

MAAR IK MERKTE DAT de upgrade niet vraagt waar de oude versie van 1.4.2. staat, dus hoe vind hij die.

Het ging trouwens helemaal fout. Alle maal meldingen van niet gevonden files etc etc etc, allemaal in het rood, dus niet goed.

Wat moet ik doen?

ik denk dat je dan toch de dir van 1.4.2. moet invullen.

Can je even de errors posten die je krijgt, kunnen we misschien meer zien waar de fout kan liggen.

Daarnaast denk ik dat je de stap moet maken om eerst naar 2.0.0 up te graden en van 2.0.0 naar 2.0.4

Ik zal morgen de errors posten.

Ik zal een 1.4.2. installatie doen alleen mijzelf als admin bekent maken en dan de 2.0.4 upgrade doen.

Ik zal ook andere versies van phpBB van mijn server halen om zeker te zijn dat de uprade die misschien pakt.

Dus alleen een verse 1.4.2 op mijn server verder niks en dan de upgrade, waarbij ik voorlopig nog even de directory zal selecteren waarin de upgrade staat.

Oke ik heb alles overnieuw gedaan

Hostname = localhost
DBname = candida
DBuser = candida

ik heb eerst de database gedropped en opnieuw gemaakt.

toen 1.4.2 geinstalleerd in de directory phpBB142, alles OK

toen de upgrade met 2.0.4 in directory phpBB204, ik heb als script path de directory van 2.0.4. dus phpBB204 op gegeven.

De volgende warnings snap ik niet

De errors later ook niet.

Ik zal je makkelijk uit je help verlossen

Van 1.4.2 kun je nooit naar 2.0.4 zien te komen..
Je zult eerst naar een iets hoger zien te komen enzo omhoog..
Dus bijv. 1.4.2 - > 1.7 -> 2.0 -> 2.0.4....

Leipo dat is goed nieuws maar ook weer secht nieuws!!

De phpBB.com install/upgrade info is dus helemaal FOUT!!??

Waar vind ik al die verschillende oude versies? Ze staan niet op de phpBB.com site.

Leipo je bent veel meer dan je naam doet vermoeden.

HET IS GELUKT (bijna dan)

ik heb van 1.4.2 --> 2.0.0. kunnen upgraden.

2.0.0 moet dan wel in een ANDERE folder staan dan 1.4.2.

De scripts in de 1.4.2. folder worden NIET bijgewerkt, alleen de database.

Ik houd jullie op de hoogte.

ehhhhh, nu heb ik toch nog een klein probleempje!!!!

Alles werkt onder 2.0.0. alleen een klein dingetje niet.

Nieuwe gebruikers kunnen niet registreren. Dat is natuurlijk wel erg gezellig maar niet mijn plan.

Ik kan ook niets veranderen in mijn profiel. In beide gevallen krijg ik de melding:

Could not update users table

Ik heb met de database manger gekeken en de users tabel ziet er goed uit. Ik heb via DB Admin er ook wat in veranderd, dat ging ook.

HELP: heeft iemand een suggestie??

Heb je al geprobeerd om alle tabellen te optimaliseren oid?
Anders denk ik toch echt dat er iets verkeerd is gegaan tijdens het overzetten en zal je toch echt het overzetten (weer) opnieuw moeten uitvoeren.

Het bleek een time_zone probleem te zijn, dat ik kon oplossen met een:

ALTER TABLE phpbb_users ADD COLUMN user_timezone float DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL

en het werkt nu!!!!!
